Two Towns, One Winning Team
For many players in Chatham-Kent, when they finish midget hockey, there is no place left to go except for Junior C. With Juvenile hockey becoming less and less prevalent across Ontario, the birth of the Ridgetown-Blenheim Chiefs is a welcome addition to the Chatham-Kent sports community.
The Ridgetown-Blenheim Chiefs are competing in the Shamrock League Juvenile division this year, and are quickly climbing the standings after winning all three of their games this past weekend.
The Chiefs opened the weekend on the road defeating Belmont 4-3, before beating Mooretown at home 5-3 Saturday. Sunday, the Chiefs capped off their undefeated weekend by downing the previously undefeated Erie North Shore Storm 5-3.
The weekend wins vault Ridgetown-Blenheim into second in the Shamrock League, behind on Erie North Shore. The Chiefs have now won four straight and will attempt to extend their winning streak November 10 when they face the St. Marys Rock.
