Lakers Lifted By Lindsay
A hat trick by Justin Lindsay was the highlight in the Wallaceburg Lakers’ 5-2 win against the Amherstburg Admirals Wednesday.
Lindsay got on the scoresheet 26 seconds into the first period. He then added goals at 10:24 into the first and at 17:34 into the first.
“It was a solid effort by all four lines,” said Wallaceburg assistant coach Derek Ellis. “Congratulations to Justin Lindsay on his hat trick. Friday night will be a big test against the Alvinston Flyers. The boys need to be ready to play,” continued Ellis.
Wallaceburg also got points from Lucais Meyskens, who also grabbed one goal and two assists and Ryan Gruszka, who also scored for Wallaceburg.
The Admirals forced Wallaceburg goalie Joel Sowinski to work between the pipes, as the netminder faced 36 shots.
Wallaceburg now sits with a 4-21-0-0 record this season, and will face the Alvinston Flyers Friday on the road.
