Oh Brothers, Maroons Win Big
As they have been much of the season, the Maroons were paced by the GOJHL’s scoring leader Kyle Brothers, who scored a hat trick and added four assists for an incredible seven point evening. Brothers first goal of the game, early in the first, also stood as the game winner.
Veterans Adam Arseneault and Michael Verboom also had big games, each scoring twice and assisting on three goals, for five points each.
As well, new acquisition Jared Dennis, who played four seasons with the Leamington Flyers, made his Maroons debut in style, scoring a hat trick. James McEwan and Trevor Richardson also had three point nights. McEwan had a goal and two assists, while Richardson had three assists.
In net, Jacob Keogh stayed undefeated with the Chatham Maroons, winning his sixth straight start.
Chatham hosts LaSalle at Memorial Arena Sunday before taking the holiday break. They will return to action January 3 in St. Marys.
