Chatham Maroons Kyle Brothers and Jacob Keogh were named the GOJHL Western Conference’s Offensive Player and Goaltender of the Month respectively for December 2013.

Keogh, who joined the Chatham Maroons on December 1 after a trade from the Cambridge Winterhawks, was a wall for the Maroons in December, winning each of his 7 starts. The Barrie, Ontario native posted a 2.00 goals against average and .934 save percentage in his 7 December victories.

Brothers, who leads the GOJHL in scoring, was also the league’s top offensive player in October. In his first season with the Chatham Maroons, Brothers has already surpassed his regular season totals from last year through just over 30 games.

In December, Brothers scored 3.5 points per game, including 9 goals and 15 assists in 7 games. Brothers also scored in the GOJHL All-Star game.

In their first January start Friday, Keogh took the win in net, stopping 23 of 25 shots he faced, while Brothers continued his torrid scoring pace, collecting 2 goals and 3 assists in the 8-2 win.
