Blenheim, Ontario’s Dylan Vander Pol is a 21-year-old for the Blenheim Blades of the Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League.

A Blenheim District High School graduate, Vander Pol has played in parts of six seasons as a goaltender for the Blenheim Blades. Vander Pol has more than 100 games of experience with the Blenheim Blades, serving as their starter for the past four seasons.

He rejoined the Blades this year as an overager in early December to finish out his Junior career.

Below are Dylan Vander Pol’s answers to CKSN’s Five Questions:

1. What is your career sports highlight/top memory?

1. Winning OMHA 2 years in a row when I was younger.

2. Who is your favourite professional sports team and athlete?

Favourite team is the Toronto Maple Leafs, and player is Buffalo’s Ryan Miller.

3. If you could achieve one thing/goal in sports, what would it be?

Win our league.

4. Who has been your biggest sports influence and why?

Bob McNear, he’s always had my back.

5. What do you love most about playing sports?

Being able to play with my friends and make new ones.
