Five Questions With Hannah Doforno
Hannah Doforno is a 16-year-old ringette player from Chatham, Ontario.
Doforno is currently one of the Chatham Thunder U-19 team’s top scorers. The Queen Elizabeth II graduate, and current John McGregor Secondary School student also enjoys playing soccer in the summer.
Below are Hannah Doforno’s answers to CKSN’s Five Questions:
1. What is your career sports highlight/top memory?
My career sports highlight would probably be when my team and I travelled to North Bay to compete in the 2010 A Provincials. North Bay is the where Ringette originated. We played West Ferris in the final. We came home Silver Medalists but that game went to 13 minutes of OT. I’ll never forget it.
2. Who is your favourite professional sports team and athlete?
I love soccer also and my father is Portuguese. My favourite player is Christiano Ronaldo. We will be watching Portugal this summer in the 2014 World Cup.
3. If you could achieve one thing/goal in sports, what would it be?
To make it to the National Ringette League or continue playing for as long as I can.
4. Who has been your biggest sports influence and why?
My biggest influence is my team-mate Kara Hueniken. We’ve been together on the same team for 9 years. She’s dedicated and always pushes me to do my best. We help each other on and off the ice.
5. What do you love most about playing sports?
I love the intensity, competitiveness and it’s a nice break from everyday life.
