Kings Double Up On Flags
Derek Daly opened the scoring for the Dresden Kings, scoring twice before the midway mark of the first period. Daly would complete his hat trick late in the third, sliding a shot into the empty net. He would also add an assist to complete a four point night.
After Daly scored twice in the first, and Macks Holmes added another, the Kings headed to the second period, which would be dominated by Dillon Liberty, up 3-0. Liberty, a former Lambton Shores Predator, scored twice in the second period to give the Kings a 5-0 lead. Liberty also had two assists in the game for five points overall.
Rookie Dede Cato, a smooth skating defender out of Chatham, also had an impressive game, picking up five assists for the Dresden Kings in the win.
Dresden travels to play the last place Wallaceburg Lakers Wednesday, January 22.
