Missiaen Demoted To ECHL
After backing up the NHL’s New York Rangers earlier this season, Missiaen was demoted this week from the American Hockey League’s Hartford Wolf Pack to the ECHL’s Greenville Road Warriors.
Missiaen has played in 14 games this season for Hartford, but carried a dismal 2-11-1 record, with a 3.83 GAA and 0.864 save percentage. Missiaen’s stats placed him last among AHL goaltenders statistically.
He was made expendable when Hartford signed veteran David LeNeveu.
Missiaen now rejoins the Greenville Road Warriors where he played 40 games in 2011-2012, and 5 games in 2012-2013.
Greenville plays a triple header against South Carolina this weekend.
