Nicholson Tricks Cards, High School Scores

Lauren Nicholson had her best game of the high school season Thursday as the KCSSAA schedule got back underway following disruptions due to weather.

Nicholson scored a hat trick for the UCC Lancers, lifting her team to a 5-2 win over the LKCS Cardinals in girls hockey play. UCC also got goals from Katreena Whiteye and Maddy Lalonde in the win.

Dresden’s goal scorers were Zoe Elis and Rachel Tricker.

In Senior boys basketball, Jazz Miguel White (19-points), Luke Allin (15-points), Matt Beselaere (10-points) helped the UCC Lancers defeat Chatham Christian 64-34.

Trent Hopkins had 11-points, leading Wallaceburg to a narrowly defeat Blenheim 35-33. In other senior boys action, CKSS beat Pain Court 60-25, and Ridgetown hammered Tilbury 53-8.
