Dr. Ytsma Comeback of the Week: Lancers Steal Kent

The UCC Lancers Senior Boys basketball team needed a huge push late in the game to defeat the CKSS Golden Hawks, capturing the ‘AA-AAA-AAAA’ Kent Championship and completing the Dr. Sarah Ytsma Comeback of the Week for the week ending February 19.

The UCC Lancers started slow, but ended red hot in the February 15 Kent Championship game.

The Lancers fell behind by 11-points to the CKSS Golden Hawks in the second quarter of Saturday’s final, but fought back with an exceptional, 27-point, performance by Jazz Miguel-White.

The Lancers cut CKSS’ lead to 1-point by the half, and then continued rolling to grab a 55-51 victory, and the school’s first Kent Senior Boys Basketball title since 2009.
