Special Guest To Drop Puck At Maroons Game
Chatham’s Benjamin Bisschop Cadotte will drop the puck Sunday night before the Chatham Maroons home game against the St. Marys Lincolns.
Benjamin Bisschop Cadotte was born with a Congenital Heart Defect called Transposition of the Great Arteries. His aorta and his pulmonary artery were in the opposite positions they needed to be causing blood to not pump properly through his body. Due to this, he severely lacked oxygen and was required to have open heart surgery at just 9 days old to help repair this defect.
Benjamin recovered with little trouble. Now Benjamin is a happy, healthy two year old who lives each day to its fullest. His prognosis is wonderful and we hope for no further surgeries in the future.
The Heart and Stroke Foundation’s vision is to see everyone live healthy lives free of heart disease and stroke. It is The Heart and Stroke Foundation’s mission to prevent heart disease and stroke, save lives, and promote recovery of those who suffer from heart disease or have experienced a stroke. Together we will make it happen. Benjamin is a perfect example of what you’re investing in when you donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Benjamin will be accompanied by his parents Cady Bisschop and Dave Cadotte .
Representatives of THE HEART & STROKE FOUNDATION, CHATHAM-KENT CHAPTER will have an information table set up on the upper East side walkway of Memorial Arena.
There will be a special SILENT AUCTION of AUTOGRAPHED MAROON PLAYER PHOTOS with the proceeds going to HEART & STROKE.
Game time is 7 pm .
