14-year-old Brendan Van Herk won silver in the 400m IM with a personal best time of 4:47.10. B
Van Herk also had five other top ten finishes with personal best swims, placing fifth in both the 200m Fly (2:17.88) and 200m IM (2:16.39), and seventh in the 100m Fly (1:02.36) and 200m Back(2:16.08). He was also eighth in the 100m Back (1:02.04), and twelfth in the 100 Breast (1:14.02).
His older sister, 17-year-old Shania Van Herk placed thirteenth in the 200m Back, fifteenth in the 200m Free, and sixteenth in the 100m Back.
The Blenheim Blast hosts the next S.E.A.L meet of the season at the Gable Rees Rotary Pool Sunday, April 13.
