Bugarski Bronze For The 13U Ballhawks

The 13U Chatham Ballhawks girls volleyball team took a bronze medal home from the Bugarski Cup in Kitchener, Ontario over the weekend.

Chatham opened the tournament strong finishing first in their pool defeating the Guelph Grizzlies 25-17-, 25-22, and the London Sharks in a difficult three game match, 21-25, 25-19, and 15-10.

After easily defeating the 12U London Fire “Fury” 25-7, 25-6, the Ballhawks advanced to the tournament semi-finals.

Facing the 13U London Fire “Ignite,” the Ballhawks split the opening games of their match 15-25, 25-14. In the third game to decide who would advance to the gold medal final, Chatham fell 15-8, sending them to the bronze medal game.

The Chatham Ballhawks would not leave the tournament without a medal, taking the bronze medal game with a 25-10, 25-19 win over the Sarnia Twin Bridges.
