Tilbury’s 5150 Speedway’s racing season is ready to roll for the 2014 summer season.

Entering their third year of oval dirt-kart racing, the track’s organizers are excited to show Tilbury residents, and racing fans from across Chatham-Kent and Essex County what the track has to offer.

“We are the entertainment leader in Tilbury, Ontario’s community,” says Trevor Elliott, Administrative Assistant at Letkebridge Motorports Park’s 5150 Speedway. “The competitors and spectators that flock to 5150 Speedway continually look forward to the weekly bumper to bumper action on the fast paced, high banked 1/8th mile D-shaped clay oval track.”

After heavy rains, Thursday’s opening night has been postponed until May 8, with regular racing running each Thursday until late September.

Attracting over 300 spectators and competitors to the track each week, the Championship Track Series includes the Mid-Season Championships July 19, Championship Day September 21, before the season ending Fall Brawl October 4 and 5.
