Council Approves Funding For Dresden Facility
Chatham-Kent’s council approved a motion put forth by councillor Joe Faas to partially fund a new sports facility in Dresden, Ontario.
At Municipal council last night, a vote was approved to fund 25% ($134,500) of the $540,000 to upgrade the fields at Lambton-Kent Composite School.
The project will see a new track, irrigated soccer fields, a baseball diamond, washrooms and storage building, and an extension to the existing Trillium Trail.
The Lambton-Kent District School Board has also pledged $50,000 toward the building costs, as well as the ongoing maintenance costs once the facility is done.
