Dresden’s Aryn Finley Commits To Brock University
Dresden’s Aryn Finley has committed to play OUA basketball for the Brock University Badgers as a part of the 2014-2015 recruiting class.
“I feel very relived to have made my decision,” says Finley of committing to Brock. “When I visited Brock University it felt like home to me because of how friendly the coaches and players treated me. I can’t see myself going anywhere else but Brock.”
“We are thrilled at having Aryn come to Brock next year,” Brock women’s basketball head coach Si Khounviseth said in a school news release. “Aryn is an athletic and long forward who has the ability to step out and knock down shots from the three point line. She can defend multiple positions and her versatility gives us options on both ends of the floor. We love her toughness and her overall skill set.”
The 6-foot-2 forward, Finley has been an all-star multiple times, and team MVP while competing for the UCC Lancers girls basketball program over the last five years.
Finley, who previously played for the St. Clair JUEL team, has played a starring role this season with the London Ramblers JUEL team, which also features recent Iowa State University commit, and Chatham resident, Bridget Carleton.
“To play university basketball to me means that I am able to still play this amazing game while stepping into this new chapter in my life,” says Finley, who will study Kinesiology at Brock. “I don’t know what I would do without basketball and I am truly privileged to be able to continue with the sport that I love.”
