Kent High School Soccer Kicking Into High Gear

It was a busy night in Kent soccer, kicking off a full weekly schedule for the Senior Boys and Senior girls soccer loops.

In Wallaceburg, Robert Griffioen earned the 3-0 shutout for the WDSS Tartans over the Chatham Christian Flames in senior boys soccer action. Trent Reaume, Marc Kellett, and Braydon Fischer had Wallaceburg’s goals, helping the Tartans improve to 1-1 on the season.

Wallaceburg, who has played the least number of game of all Kent boys teams, will host Tilbury on Tuesday, and the CKSS Golden Hawks Thursday.

In Pain Court, the Patriotes picked up wins in both Senior boys and girls action. In the boys game, Ben Bruhlman and Mitchell Benn scored in a 2-1 victory over the Lambton-Kent Cardinals, improving ESPC to 2-2 this year.

Matt McDonald had the Cardinals lone goal in the loss.

Jorja Paraskevopoulos scored the lone goal of the game, while Meagan Theroux took the shutout, as the Lady Patriotes defeated Lambton-Kent 1-0.

At John McGregor Secondary School, the Panthers scored early and often defeating the Ridgetown Royals 9-0. Laura Polowick and Alison Rae each scored twice for JMSS, while Kailee Waddick, Chelsea Peachey, Elijah Brown, Maddi Tunstall, and Ceara Travis each had singles.
