Kent Soccer Teams Eliminated

Wallaceburg, facing the Tecumseh L’Essor Aigles, were playing a SWOSSAA ‘AA’ challenge game with the winner moving on to OFSAA soccer. Wallaceburg had lost to the Belle River Nobles in the SWOSSAA final earlier this week.
UCC, who finished the Kent regular season undefeated with a 5-0-2 record before falling to CKSS in the Kent final, were also eliminated Thursday at the hands of the St. Anne Saints. Playing in the SWOSSAA ‘AAAA’ final, UCC allowed one goal per half, and could not find the Saints’ net themselves.
No boys team from Kent advanced beyond SWOSSAA this season.
Only Kent football and OFSAA track and field, and rugby remain on the local high school schedule for 2014.
