Chatham’s Sydnee Nolan is taking her game to Medellin, Columbia to compete in an International Rugby 7s tour with the Dog River Howlers.

Nolan, a UCC Lancers graduate, won an OUA rugby title this season as a freshman with the Queens University Gaels. Nolan started at scrum half for the Gaels.

The Howlers, based out of Dog River, Saskatchewan, are an invitation only rugby organization featuring members from across Canada, and multiple other countries. While the tour and games the Howlers enter is always competitive, their purpose for going also has a humanitarian view.

Nolan will travel with the team to Columbia from May 20-26 for a rugby 7s tournament, but also for humanitarian purposes.

While in Columbia, the team will run clinics, and donate equipment, rugby supplies, balls, and jerseys.
