After the Windsor Clippers won each of their three meetings with the Wallaceburg Red Devils in the OLA Junior B Lacrosse regular season, many were predicting Windsor to take the opening round playoff series between the two teams with little trouble.

Unfortunately for the Windsor Clippers, Wallaceburg doesn’t like predictions.

Backed by their home crowd, the Red Devils opened up a 2-0 series lead after taking a 16-3 win Saturday on their home floor.

Mike Myers had a huge game for the Red Devils, scoring four goals and adding four assists. New addition Brennan White also contributed with a hat trick and an assist for Wallaceburg.

Captain Joel Shepley scored twice and added and assist, as did Mitch Gagnier.

Also scoring for the Wallaceburg Red Devils were Corey Lucier, Mitch VanDamme, Connor Smith, Neil McInroy, and Dan Charlton, who also added three assists.

After Windsor fell behind, the game got chippy, with multiple fights, but Wallaceburg showed they were not only the dominant offensive team, they were also the physically dominant team.

A potentially deciding game three will take place Wednesday, July 2.
