The Wallaceburg Red Devils laid a beating on the Niagara Thunderhawks Sunday, playing to an uneven 11-1 victory.

“Solid effort today. We played well on D and Noble had a great game,” said Red Devils head coach Jamie Knight of his defense and goaltender Noble Jacobs. “I think that we out ran them all day.”

The Red Devils, who now sit at 13-6 on the season, handed the Thunderhawks what was only their fourth loss of the season.

Wallaceburg’s new additions from the Point Edward Pacers continued to contribute, in particular in the absence of Jordan Durston and Joel Shepley who spent the weekend with the Six Nations Arrows, as Kevin Conroy had three goals and an assist, Dan Charlton had three assists, and Connor Smith had a single goal.

Wallaceburg products Brock Daugherty and Ryan Noel also had two goals a piece in the win, while Mike Myers, Evan Mathany, and Neil McInroy each had singles.

The Red Devils will host their final regular season game of the year Friday June 20 against the Owen Sound North Stars.
