Arrows Ready For Round Two
Six Nations swept St. Catherines in three straight games, asserting themselves as they playoff favourite.
Wallaceburg’s Jordan Durston had 6 goals and 4 assists in the three games series, and sits third in scoring for Six Nations.
“Our opening round went great, took St. Catherines out in three and played all around good lacrosse from our goaltending out,” said Durston.
Former Tilbury resident Brandon Montour, who was recently selected in the second round of the NHL Draft by the Anaheim Ducks, also found himself in the series, scoring once in a single game.
Wallaceburg resident Joel Shepley, who captained the Wallaceburg Red Devils this season, played two games in the opening series, recording one assist.
The Six Nations Arrows will now face the Peterborough Lakers in round two.
“For us to be successful in the second round we must play to our potential and play smart,” stated the offensive weapon of his team’s focus heading into their second round series. “Peterborough is a good team, but if we play our game no reason we should lose.”
The teams open their series Monday at Six Nations, before heading to Peterborough Wednesday.
