The Chatham Coyotes captured gold this past weekend in London with a 5-3 win over Brampton. The game was tied at 3 with 1:52 left in regulation when Tyler Udvari scored to give the Coyotes the lead. Zac Horvath had scored early in the second half and assisted on two of their other goals. Dede Cato scored two goals in that game. Brady Shepard also scored.

Chatham started pool play with a 3-1 win over Elgin Middlesex. Zac Horvath had a pair of goals with Brady Sheppard netting a single.The Coyotes faced Ottawa in their second game and came away with a 7-4 victory. Kier Cumming and Drew Medd scored a pair of goals each with singles going to Zac Horvath, Blake Padbury, Brady Sheppard. Game three of pool play had Chatham defeat West Hill by a 5-1 score. Drew Medd had a hat trick, with Kier Cumming and Nolan Smith notching singles. Zac Horvath had three helpers in the game.

In the semi final game Chatham was seeded #1 and faced the 4th seed West Hill for a second time. The Coyotes defeated West Hill by a 5-1 score to advance to the championship game. Brady Sheppard had a pair of goals while Blake Padbury had a goal and two assists. Singles went to John Montgomery and Kier Cumming. Ben Van Kessel was the winning goaltender in all five games.

Chatham was the reigning champion in this division, and most of this group were provincial champions as bantams two years ago.
