Wallaceburg’s Joel Shepley and Jordan Durston, and former Tilbury resident Brandon Montour hoisted the Minto Cup Saturday in Langley, British Columbia, winning the Canadian Junior A National lacrosse championship with the Six Nations Arrows.

After falling behind 2-0 in their series against the Coquitlam Adanacs, the Arrows fought back winning four straight games to capture the 2014 Minto Cup, including Saturday’s 14-8 victory.

Joel Shepley had an assist in the victory on a Johnny Powless third period goal. He finished the Minto Cup with 3 goals and 3 assists for 6-points in 4 games played.

Tilbury’s Brandon Montour had a goal on the win, finishing the series with 4 goals and 4 assists in 6 games.

Wallaceburg’s Jordan Duston didn’t get to the floor in the series after suffering a knee injury in the OLA playoffs, but was one of Six Nations’ top scorers all season.
