Chatham Maroons Schedule Released

It’s that time of year again, puck drop is rapidly approaching. The Chatham Maroons open their camp in mid-August, and the GOJHL regular season schedule, including the Chatham Maroons schedule was recently released.

Chatham will open their 2014-2015 season on the road Friday, September 12 in St. Thomas, as the Maroons will take on St. Thomas. This game will be a homecoming for Maroon Alex Morgan. Morgan, who started this Junior hockey career in Chatham, is a St. Thomas native, and spent last season captaining the Stars, before returning to Chatham this year for his overage season.

Two days later, Chatham will host the Leamington Flyers for their home opener, in a GOJHL Western Conference finals rematch. The Flyers eliminated Chatham from the playoffs last season. The game, which will take place Sunday, September 14, will get underway at 7pm.

Chatham’s next home dates are Sunday, September 21, and Sunday, September 28 against Strathroy and Sarnia respectively.
