CK Athletes Medal At Ontario Summer Games
The St. Clair Region U16 T.I.D.P. team through Basketball Ontario won silver this week, coached by Jeff Bryne and assisted by Kirby Sanderson both of the Wallaceburg Airhawks, and featuring local players Ally Sanderson and Jade Johnston who attend L.K.C.S. and play with the Wallaceburg Airhawks, and Brittany McLaren, Jana Kucera and Logan Kucera from CKSS – Contributed Photo
The St. Clair U16 team, pictured above won silver, falling to Capital Region, 65-37 in the final, with locals Jana Kucera scoring 11-points, and Brittany McLaren adding 3, while Logan Kucera had 2-points.
Thamesville’s Delaney Taylor, also won a silver medal as a member of the Southwest Black rugby team.
Taylor, who attends UCC, had seven tries in the tournament, before falling 15-0 to Niagara in the championship game.
