Below are Brad Authier’s answers to CKSN’s Five Questions:
1. What is your career sports highlight/top memory?
Going to Eldora Speedway entered to race for one million dollars. Only two Canadians entered and I was one of them with 375 other drivers from around the world. I qualified 92nd fastest at 17 seconds flat fastest time was 16.42, which put me in the heat. I started 17 in a heat with 20 cars, finished way back, but I was very proud to support our country and for what I have accomplished.
2. Who is your favourite professional sports team and athlete?
The Detroit Red Wings and Scott Bloomquist is my favourite driver.
3. If you could achieve one thing/goal in sports, what would it be?
I have done that, and that is to be the most winningest driver at the local race track South Buxton Raceway and still run today and still winning.
4. Who has been your biggest sports influence and why?
My family, my mom, my wife, and all the kids, grandkids, and all my fans.
5. What do you love most about playing sports?
It takes away all the stress from the long week.
