Wallaceburg’s Emily Vandamme won a national gold medal with Team Ontario in the Canadian Female Box Lacrosse Championship.

This will be Vandamme’s third medal of the year and fifth medal with Team Ontario.

Vandamme has already won a silver medal with Wallaceburg’s Lady Griffins and a gold with the intermediate men’s team this season.

Over the past years, Vandamme has earned multiple medals while playing with Team Ontario including two silver and two gold medals.

Team Ontario went undefeated in the round robin before defeating Alberta, 8-1 in the finals on Sunday.

Vandamme was also named to the Canadian All Star Team.

Wallaceburg’s Tyler Davis also won a gold medal with Ontario’s peewee team in British Columbia. Davis helped Ontario beat British Columbia 8-2 in the final, finishing the tournament with six goals and three assists in six games.
