Through Daniel’s Lens: Banding Together For A Cause
September 15, 2014. The Place St. Clair College ball yard and it was a cloudy overcast afternoon. Several teams that ran the gauntlet from Blenheim to Ridgetown were gathering at the diamond to play a series of charity games to benefit the Chatham-Kent United Way.
The event is called Red Feather Week some years it has been soccer and according to some friends of mine the festivities didn’t involve sports at all but dances. This year it was softball and among the teams participating were:
- Blenheim Bobcats (Above)
- UCC Lancers
- CK Golden Hawks
- Ridgetown Royals
This particular shoot will hold dear to me at it is the first charity game I covered and I also tried a new technique for taking my photos from the game. A Special mention goes to the Blenheim Bobcats for allowing me to get a team shot of the girls making it my second team shot (the first being the Wallaceburg Tartans back in London)
