Through Daniel’s Lens: Are You Ready For Some Football

The UCC Lancers and the WDSS Tartans Kick off the season in style

Friday September 12 2014. it was a cool cloudy afternoon and the sun was peeking in and out of the clouds. This was my first real taste of High School Football and the Lancers boys team was squaring of against the Wallaceburg Tartans in  a nail biter of an opener. When I first arrived on the scene the score was Lancers – 7 Tartans – 14. From where I was standing it was a great front row seat of the action. Both teams from what I could gather had a stellar ensemble that played a very good game and they loved to play football. As I stood there snapping shots I could hear the Hank Williams Jr. song ‘Are You Ready For Some Football‘ playing in my head. There were also many other members of Chatham-Kent’s Photography community there the representative from the Chatham Daily News was on hand as was CKSN’s Jocelyn McLaughlin. Both teams gave a brilliant performance and I left with some amazing shots which I am more than happy to share with my CKSN readers below via the gallery:
