The Chatham-Kent Cyclones Minor Peewee ‘AAA’ team got off to a strong start over the weekend capturing a tournament title at the Rochester Youth Hockey ‘AAA’ Invitational in Rochester, New York.

The Chatham-Kent Cyclones opened the tournament with a trio of ties going 2-2 with the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers, 3-3 with the Valley Jr. Warriors, and 4-4 versus the Connecticut Wolfpack.

The Cyclones picked up their first win against the Seawll Valley Rapids, 5-3, before beating the Hamilton Huskies 3-1, and taking the championship game 7-4 against the Connecticut Wolfpack.

After a weekend of tournament play, the Minor Peewee Cyclones are back into Alliance action October 3 when they travel to play the Sun County Panthers.
