Riversite Realty, Todd & Rick Shepley Laker of the Game: Brock Daugherty

The Wallaceburg Lakers Player of the Game, sponsored by Riversite Realty Todd and Rick Shepley, for Wallaceburg’s September 10 home opening loss to the Amhertsburgh Admirals is Brock Daugherty.

Daugherty, a Wallaceburg product, scored the Lakers first and only goal with less than four minutes remaining in the games opening frame Wednesday night.

“I thought the kid played a strong game for one practice,” said head coach Ken Shine about Daugherty and his team having little time to prepare for the season. Shine praised Daugherty, a former Kent TekSavvy Cobras forward, for his performance in their season opener

Last season with the Kent ‘AA’ team, Daugherty had 7 goals and 9 assists in 49 games with the Major Midget team.
