Tricker New To The Team, Not To The Town
“It feels pretty good to be back in Dresden and seeing everyone that I’ve drifted away from since high school, it doesn’t even seem like I left,” says Tricker. “It’s nice too that my family doesn’t have to come as far to watch and support me.”
Tricker, 19, played with the Chatham Maroons and the Belle River Canadiens last season, going 5-2-1 with the Junior C team.
With Tricker taking his first win with the team last Friday night and stepping in at the start of the second period on Sunday already down 3 goals, he says he’s prepared to get more minutes this coming year.
“I’m looking forward to getting a lot more ice time than I’m used to and playing with a great bunch of guys that I’ve played with before, and also some new ones,” says Tricker.
“My expectations are pretty high for this year because the teams all seem pretty close throughout the league, so it will come down to who will want it more,” says Tricker. “I think we are going to put up some tough competition come playoff time.”
The Kings will get back on the rink on Friday when they take on the 0-1 Wheatley Sharks on home ice.
