The Blenheim Blades lost their second game of the weekend, not able to stop the Amherstburg Admirals’ James Brooks in the third period, losing a 5-3 decision.

After Mark Gagnon scored a pair of goals for the Amherstburg Admirals in the opening period of Sunday’s game, the Blades took over in the second period.

Tyler Boughner scored on the powerplay to kick things off for Blenheim, with Kellen Kaniecki scoring to tie the game 2-2.

In the third Boughner scored less than a minute in to put the Blades ahead 3-2, but it wasn’t however, enough.

James Brooks scored three consecutive goals for the Admirals lifting them to the 5-3 win.

The game was a penalty filled contest with the Blades receiving 77 minutes in penalties, including 7 misconducts.

Blenheim travels to face the Lakeshore Canadiens Friday, before hosting the Essex 73s Sunday.
