The Blenheim Bobcats football team will go down in the books as the first LKSSAA 8-man senior boys regular season champion, as the Bobcats clinched first overall, and improved to a perfect 5-0 Thursday, as they defeated the John McGregor Panthers.

The Bobcats, winning 42-21, were again paced by the Shuian brothers, Tanner and Dalton.

Tanner Shuian scored four touchdowns and rushed for over 200-yards in the game. Dalton Shuian had a single rushing touchdown, and threw a touchdown pass to Matt Laidlaw.

The John McGregor Panthers, who currently sit second in the LKSSAA 8-man league, were led by quarterback Kelton Evans, who threw for more over 300-yards, including a touchdown pass to Keyshaun Jordan. Evans also ran in a touchdown.

The Panthers also received a touchdown from James Gibson.

Blenheim will close out their 2014 LKSSAA regular season October 17 when they travel to Petrolia to face the LCCVI Lancers. John McGregor has two games remaining, facing the St. Clair Colts in Chatham October 17, and travelling to play LCCVI October 23.
