Fischer’s Power Tartans

Brett Fischer and Sawyer Fischer were a one-two sister punch Thursday night in Wallaceburg, as the Wallaceburg District Secondary School Tartans defeated the LCCVI Lancers in LKSSAA Senior Girls Basketball action.

Brett Fischer knocked down 13-points, while Sawyer Fischer had 11-points for the Tartans in their 55-35 win over LCCVI (Petrolia).

Clancy Cavanagh also had 11-points for the Tartans, who improved to 5-5 this season, and sit 4th in the LKSSAA ‘AA-AAA-AAAA’ standings.

In other senior girls basketball news, the John McGregor Panthers improved to a perfect 10-0, sitting atop the LKSSAA standings, by defeating St. Clair Thursday. Bridget Carleton scored 35-points for the Panthers in the 57-28 win.
