Riversite Realty Todd & Rick Shepley Laker of the Game: Jeff Brown

The Wallaceburg Lakers Player of the Game, sponsored by Riversite Realty Todd and Rick Shepley, for Wallaceburg’s October 1 game against the Blenheim Blades is Cory Jeff Brown.

Trailing 4-1 heading into the third period against the Blades, the Wallaceburg Lakers looked to be out of the game, but Brown sparked his team with a pair of third period points to pull the Lakers within a goal.

Brown opened the third period scoring an unassisted powerplay marker. Minutes later, he set up rookie Brendan Ritchie, again on the powerplay, to make the score 4-3. Unfortunately for Brown and the Lakers, Blenheim would score again later in the third and win the game 5-3.

Brown is a 1996 born forward from Sarnia, Ontario, who is in his first season of Junior hockey. His goal Wednesday night was his first in Junior hockey.
