Carleton Officially Signs With Iowa State
“I’m really excited to be officially signed with Iowa State,” said Carleton. “I can’t wait to get there.”
Carleton, who currently plays for the John McGregor Panthers senior girls team, as well as the London Ramblers JUEL program, is considered the best player in Canada in her age group. She starred for multiple Canadian National teams in the last two years, including Canada’s National Junior Team this past summer.
After committing to the Iowa State Cyclones program in May, Carleton says she’s excited to get to the school and playing NCAA Division I basketball.
“All around it is an awesome school with great people,” says Carleton. “The basketball program, the coaches, the team, the academics are all great, which makes me very confident and excited. I can’t wait to start a new journey there.”
Following her signing, Carleton went back to work, doing what got her noticed in the first place, as she led her John McGregor Panthers with 22-points in a 40-33 win over General Amherst. The win gave JMSS the SWOSSAA title, and sends them to the OFSAA ‘AA’ basketball championships in Kingsville, Ontario from November 20-22.
