Great Lakes Junior C Power Rankings: Week 8
#1 Essex 73’s / Last week #1
The 73’s only meeting this week was at home to the Lakers. Roster contributions from top to bottom only strengthen the proven system
in Essex.
Record: 12-1-1-1
#2 Lakeshore Canadiens / Last Week #2
When the Canadiens work hard for 60 minutes they come out shining. Liam MacDougall continues to come up big where it counts most while Luke Sanko makes an instant impact in his first 4 games.
Record: 10-5-0-1
#3 Amherstburgh Admirals / Last week #3
The Admirals are proving that they are serious about change. Consistency will be key and that was apparent in their only match this week at home to the Blades in a convincing 6-1 victory.
Record: 10-6-0-0
#4 Wheatley Sharks / Last week #5
Wheatley would only see the ice once this week in a close 2 period contest followed by a dominating third period. Veterans Brendon Anger and Austin Thompson would lead the Sharks to displace the Kings in this weeks rankings. Record: 8-6-0-2
#5 Dresden Kings / Last week #4
The Kings only competition this week would have them come up short after a strong two period showing at home in Dresden. The Kings need no reminders of the benefits of 3 periods of disciplined hockey.
Record: 8-6-2-0
#6 Blenheim Blades / Last week #6
Blenheim continues to iron out the wrinkles but are finding more success at the oppositions net. Oliphant, Boersma and Boughner will be instrumental in leading their team to success through complete line contributions in both the offensive and defensive zones.
Record: 8-8-0-0
#7 Wallaceburg Lakers / Last week #7
The Lakers would split their weekend contests but continue to develope a team that finds success in refining the simple things. Master the basics now, accomplish the difficult later.
Record: 5-8-0-1
#8 Alvinston Flyers / Last week #8
Alvinston does most everything right, sometimes you get the bounces, sometimes you dont. With Avery in the pipes and the cards in their favor the Flyers bring a very good game to the table.
Record: 5-9-0-0
#9 Mooretown Flags / Last week #9
The Flags are very much a work in progress, no matter what the system, the players must buy into it and believe in it. The goal is common and the path defined.
Record: 2-10-1-0
