The Chatham Maroons defeated the London Nationals for the second time this week, edging London 3-2 at Memorial Arena Sunday night.

After defeating London on the road Wednesday, Chatham gave their home fans a good show Sunday, holding off the Nationals.

Drew Worrad opened the scoring for the London Nationals in the second period, Chatham bounced back with three unanswered goals.

Brennan Feasey started things off for Chatham banging in a rebound from a low Brayden Hopkins shot.

Later in the frame, Trevor Richardson fired a shot high over London netminder Justin Tugwell’s blocker to give the Chatham Maroons the lead.

In the third period, Michael Verboom scored an insurance marker for Chatham, which the Maroons would need as Tanner Ferreira scored a powerplay marker to bring the Nationals within one.

Bo Bessette however, would shut the door in net for Chatham, finishing off his 38-save win.

Chatham travels to play the slumping Sarnia Legionnaires this Thursday, before hosting the St. Thomas Stars next Sunday.
