Chiefs Heating Up
The Chiefs are heating up in the OMHA Juvenile loop, winning 7 of their last 8 games.
Saturday night, Brady Shepherd paced the South Kent Chiefs with a three point night in the Chiefs’ 4-2 victory. Shepherd scored twice and added one assist for South Kent.
Alex Gardner and Spencer Clarke chipped in with the other goals. Assists went to Blake Padbury, Mitch Ross, Nolan Smith, Kurt Beecroft, Matt Laidlaw and Mario Naclerio.
Chiefs goalie Josh (Buddy) Beecroft made several key saves late in the game to secure the win.
Two Chiefs players, Blake Padbury and Owen Welch had their Junior C right trade teams this week as well, as the Blenheim Blades acquired the rights to the duo from the Dresden Kings in exchange for Austin Bentley.
Next home game for the South Kent Chiefs is Saturday night against Belmont at 8pm.
