Dresden’s TJ Brodie will likely be suiting up in the NHL All-Star game this year, a fact which the NHL.com projected this week.

According to NHL.com, Brodie, who plays for the Calgary Flames, is among a group of six defensemen in the Western Conference likely to make the team.

“Tied for sixth among defensemen in scoring with 23 points, he might be the No. 2 defenseman on his team but he’d be the No. 1 guy for about half of the other teams in the League,” said NHL.com.

His teammate Mark Giardano, along with Shea Weber, Drew Doughty, Ryan Suter, and Kevin Shattenkirk are the other defensemen listed as projected all-stars from the Western Conference.

The 2015 NHL All-Star game will be held this season in Columbus, Ohio on January 25. Voting ends January 1.
