Week 14 of the Junior C Great Lakes Hockey League schedule is in the books. This week saw some the most shuffling our Power Rankings have seen in weeks with several teams amidst mid-season slumps, and others taking over. Mark Hagerman runs down the list in this weeks Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League Power Rankings.

#1 EsEssex-73s-Logosex 73’s / Last week #1

The 73’s wins don’t come as easily as they once did. Could it be the growing league parity or are the Essex brass experimenting with systems and line combinations.
Record: 24-2-1-1

Amherstburg-Admirals-Logo#2 Amherstburgh Admirals / Last week #3

The Admirals continue to grow as a team but still have the ocasional diciplinary hiccup. No doubt they understand the importance of ironing out these wrinkles before the playoffs begin.
Record: 19-9-0-0

Lakeshore-Canadiens-Logo

#3 Lakeshore Canadiens / Last Week #3

The Canadiens would bounce back against the Sharks after a lackluster week #13. Lakeshore will be doing some tuning like most to prepare for the playoff positioning push.
Record: 18-10-0-1

#4 Alvinston Flyers / Last week #5

Alvinston is making their presence known in the north, The Flyers are making it clear that they have as good a chance as any to drive deep into the playoffs.
Record: 12-13-1-2

Dresden-Kings-Logo#5 Dresden Kings / Last week #7

The Kings continue to stay the course and come up all Ace’s. Dresden could very well be a top four team in the making.
Record: 13-14-0-2

Blenheim-Blades-Alternative-Logo #6 Blenheim Blades / Last week #4

Blenheim is smack dab in the middle of a mid season slump. Roster changes and player movement is bolstering a solid lineup but hindering team chemistry. The twelve remaining games should sharpen the Blades.
Record: 15-13-1-0

Wheatley-Sharks-Logo #7 Wheatley Sharks / Last week #6

Wheatley would succumb to the rebounding Canadiens club in only one contest this week. Look for the Sharks to sharpen their teeth on the Lakers in their last meeting before the Christmas break.
Record: 13-13-0-2

Mooretown-Flags-Logo #8 Mooretown Flags / Last week #9

The Flags would show the Lakers in two games five days apart that they are very serious about playing more than forty games this season. Pressure is mounting in Mooretown to hold the last playoff position.
Record: 8-18-2-0

Wallaceburg-Lakers-Logo #9 Wallaceburg Lakers / Last week #8

The Lakers come up big against the most unlikely opponents. Look for Wallaceburg to make their play off bid against the top half of the division.
Record: 5-19-0-3
