The Dresden Kings entered the Christmas Break on a low Tuesday night, falling to the Alvinston Flyers. The Flyers doubled up the Kings taking a 6-3 decision.

Karsten Berg paced the Alvinston Flyers scoring 2 goals and adding 2 assists in the win, while Joe Archer also had a two goal game for Alvinston.

Dillon Liberty got the Kings on the board in the first period, scoring a power play goal with Taylor Sisson assisting.

In the second frame, Dresden looked as though they would make a game of things after Will Tetzlaff and captain Derrick Van Every both scored. Van Every also assisted on Tetzlaff’s goal.

With the score sitting at 4-3 for Alvinston heading into the third, Dresden would fail to score again, dropping the 6-3 decision.

Dresden will next face Lakeshore December 28 and Essex January 2.
