Dresden’s TJ Brodie looked like a lock for most of the season to be named to the 2015 NHL All-Star game.

Brodie was even announced as a projected All-Star by NHL.com less than a month ago. When the All-Star rosters were announced this weekend however, TJ Brodie was not among the players listed.

“Tied for sixth among defensemen in scoring with 23 points, he might be the No. 2 defenseman on his team but he’d be the No. 1 guy for about half of the other teams in the League,” said NHL.com in their projected All-Star article about Brodie.

Brodie scored two goals for the Flames Saturday night in a 6-5 loss to the Florida Panthers.

He has 8 goals and 20 assists for 28 points in 43 games thus far this season.

Brodie’s Calgary teammate Mark Giordano however, was named to the All-Star game roster. The 2015 NHL All-Star Game will take place January 25 in Columbus, Ohio.
