Chiefs Fourth At Silverstick
The Chiefs opened the tournament with a 4-2 win over Mooretown. Scoring for the Chiefs were Blake Padbury, Drew Swiss, Matt Laidlaw and Zack Horvath. Chipping in with the assists were Drew Medd, Kurt Beecroft, Cole Mcdonald, Mitch Ross and Zack Horvath. Midget goalie KJ Teron was in net for the Chiefs and earned the win.
On Friday the Chiefs played Lincoln, a team the Chiefs will have to play in the OMHA playdowns. The game ended in a 2-2 tie. Cole Mcdonald and Blake Padbury scored for the Chiefs. The assists went to Kurt Beecroft, Drew Medd and Zack Horvath. Josh Beecroft was in net for the Chiefs.
Next up was Glanbrook, another very powerful team the Chiefs will play in OMHA playdowns. The final score was Glanbrook 5, Chiefs 2. This was a very close game right up to the last few minutes. Zack Horvath had both goals for the Chiefs. Brodie Vanboxtel and Blake Padbury chipped in with assists.
On Sunday the Chiefs played Lincoln again in this semi-final match. Josh Beecroft was the story in this game. Lincoln outshot the Chiefs 34 to 17 in the game. Josh kept the Chiefs in this game and made several huge saves. The final score was Lincoln 2, Chiefs 0.
The Chiefs next home game is on January 17th at 7pm.
