Jackson Debuts In Trenton Win
Jackson, who had been serving as the captain of the GOJHL’s Lambton Shores Predators was dealt to Trenton at the trade deadline. He was sent to Trenton in exchange for cash and future considerations.
With two seasons of Junior eligibility left, Jackson has his sights set on an NCAA scholarship. Held scoreless in his opener with Trenton, Jackson had 4 goals and 9 assists, along with 50 penalty minutes in 25 games with Lambton Shores this season. The next night, Jackson and the Golden Hawks beat the Toronto Patriots, who feature ex-Chatham-Kent Cyclone Kody Gagnon.
Jackson is the second Chatham-Kent hockey product to join the Trenton Golden Hawks this season, as Blenheim’s Blayne Oliver, who played for the Chatham Maroons last season. Oliver, an assistant captain with Trenton has 4 goals and 19 assists in 43 games with Trenton this season.
Jackson also played for Lambton Shores in 2013-2014, finishing the season with 16 points in 39 games. Prior to Lambton Shores, Jackson played for Williston Northhampton Prep School in Massachusetts.
