The Wallaceburg Thrashers didn’t look far for their new head coach and general manager for their inaugural season. The senior B lacrosse team announced Wednesday that Wallaceburg resident Gord Lilley would be assuming both roles.

“Lilley brings years of lacrosse experience to the Thrashers, both on and off the floor. He has won four All Ontario Championships and two Founders Cups (Point Edward, 1983 and ’84) as a player and 1 All Ontario Championship as a coach. Lilley also coached the Red Devils from 1998-2000,” wrote the Thrashers in their news release.

Gord Lilley also holds the position of president with the Wallaceburg Red Devils Junior B lacrosse organization. Lilley’s son Steve is the president of the Thrashers.

The Wallaceburg Thrashers kick off their inaugural season this April.
