Olivia Stonehouse led the way for the Chatham Outlaws being named tournament MVP.
In their first game of the tournament, the Outlaws faced SCIR from Pittsburgh, taking a 4-2 victory. Chantelle Legere had a natural hat-trick and Olivia Stonehouse had a goal and 2 assists to lead Chatham.
The Outlaws played the Michigan Icebreakers next, and would suffer their only loss of the weekend, falling 4-1 to the Icebreakers. Micah Morissette scored Chatham’s lone goal.
Next up were the Steel City Renegades, in a game Chatham found themselves trailing 1-0 heading to the third. Stonehouse would score the tying goal, before Rachel Moretto scored the winner only 16 seconds later. Legere also had 2 assists.
In game 4, facing a tough Michigan team in a preview of the Finals, Olivia Eskritt slammed the door shut, stopping all 22 shots she faced as the teams played to a 0-0 tie.
In the finals, the Chatham Outlaws and Michigan Icebreakers renewed rivalries in a hotly contested Championship game. The game was scoreless until the 2nd before Emily Barstead scored what would eventually be the game winner on a setup from McKenzie Wilson. Raine Avey added an insurance marker later in the second and Olivia Eskritt was spectacular, posting her 2nd consecutive shutout to lead the Outlaws to the U-14 championship.
