Blades Eliminated
Amhertsburg got out to a 2-0 lead in the second period, and managed to hold on to a 4-3 decision at the final buzzer.
After Amherstburg’s opening goals, Zach Horvath scored on the powerplay to pull the Blades within one going into the second intermission.
In the third, Bryan Boersma tied things up, but Amherstburg would fire back instantly as captain Luke Gagnon, and former Chatham-Kent Cyclones forward Blake Rutckyj scored to pull the Admirals ahead for good.
Nolan VandenBoorn would score to pull the Blades within one, but it was too little too late.
Amherstburg will now advance to face the Essex 73s for the Great Lakes Junior C title.
